Sales Excellence

Our new training programme for Quality Partners

Melina Oehlke

During the coronavirus pandemic, demand for our products was very high – but now all sales staff need to actively generate orders again. Many of our quality partners and specialist dealers often offer windows or front doors that are supposedly easier to sell than our premium products. In order to refocus attention on the Solarlux product range, we have developed the Sales Excellence Programme as one of several measures: an innovative training and exchange format that clearly sets us apart from the competition.

More than just sales training
The Sales Excellence Programme goes far beyond normal sales training,  explains Stephan Hettlich, head of our Solarlux Academy, who played a key role in developing the concept. Unlike traditional training courses, the programme deliberately focuses on workshops, intensive exchange and best practices from our partners. We don't teach the 'golden path' – rather, we want to give our specialist retail partners important ideas for their daily work that they can tailor to their individual businesses and processes.

We want to pool the knowledge of our Quality Partners, learn from each other and provide the appropriate platform for this.

Selling premium throughout the company
The Sales Excellence Programme does not focus solely on the product: It's not just about selling a bi-fold Door or a Wintergarden and learning arguments to back it up, says Hetty. Rather, we want to convey what makes Solarlux products so special and how to embody this premium mindset in all areas. Our Quality Partners must clearly stand out from the competition and create a holistic shopping experience for end customers. That's why the Sales Excellence Programme is aimed not only at sales teams, but also at management and installation planning.

How did the Sales Excellence Programme come about?
The impetus for the new format came directly from the Quality Partner community. Enquiries at the Round Table – the mouthpiece of the partners – made it clear that many specialist partners were looking for ways to become more active in sales again. Strong partnerships are particularly important in challenging times. And this is exactly where the programme comes in: promoting exchange, strengthening expertise, growing in partnership – in order to present a strong, united front on the market.

Who is behind the concept?

Stephan Hettlich – Academy Pro and Driving Force

Hetty is one of the key figures behind the new Sales Excellence Programme. In his role as academy director, he is in constant contact with our quality partners and is familiar with both their daily challenges and their strengths.

Herbert Holtgreife – Founder and sales expert

Herbert is not only the founder of Solarlux, but also a true sales expert. He has been actively involved in the direct sales of our products from the very beginning and has made Solarlux what it is today. With his many years of experience, he supports our Quality Partners in the Sales Excellence Programme with practical training courses.

Joern Kettler – Sales expert, trainer & consultant

As a former long-standing Solarlux sales representative, Joern not only knows Solarlux products like the back of his hand, but also understands what is important when selling the products. He has been using this knowledge for many years as a trainer for sales and marketing staff and will also play a key role in the Sales Excellence Programme as a speaker.

Nick Steinhaus – Solarlux in his blood

Nick stands for decades of technical experience and precision. As a long-standing Solarlux project manager and head of our measurement technicians and fitters in direct sales, he brings valuable practical knowledge to the Sales Excellence Programme. He shows our Quality Partners how Solarlux already successfully focuses consistently on customers, not only in sales but also on the construction site.
